Moonlight Walk – Kanapaha Botanical Gardens – Gainesville, FL

Kanapaha’s Moonlight Walk is a magical experience where there will be twinkle lights, lanterns, and approximately 1500 luminaries along a 1.25 mile walkway. There will also be live entertainment (lost safari drummers), food, and refreshments. The astronomy club will be out with telescopes to view the cosmos.

The Hamlets: one story, two acts – Gainesville, FL

The Acrosstown Repertory Theatre closes its 2011-2012 season this May with a pair of Hamlet-based one acts: A shortened version of Shakespeare’s famous tragedy, paired with a modern comedic adaptation called “The Prince Formerly Known as Hamlet: A Justin Thyme Mystery” by Bruce Kane, which follows Thyme—a Bogart-like, tongue-in-cheek fictional detective—as he attempts to solve a hilarious whodunnit….with zombies.

Pioneer Days includes the Heritage Village with Pioneer time demonstrators such as black-smithing and yarn weaving; a Shoot-Out Re-enactment usually accompanied by Hank Madson, the Cowboy Poet; a Kids Korral area with rides and activities for all ages; and, or course, lots of Festival Food in our Food Court. Along with over 60 + Craft & Artist vendors .Pioneer Days also includes Non-profit Organizations.
