Sushi Matsuri has proudly been a sushi tradition in Gainesville for at least 12 years. We are a traditional family-oriented restaurant.

What makes the sushi and sauces here addictive, unique, special and stands out is that it’s the ONLY oldest and longest standing sushi restaurant in town that has had the same owner/sushi chef, Ben Ma, still standing at the sushi bar making and creating that wonderful sushi today. That’s why the excellent quality of the sushi will never change nor will its phenomenal secret recipes and ingredients like the Matsuri salad ginger dressing and the spicy tuna sauce that everyone keeps coming back for more!

We cater towards traditions, always have and always will. We take pride in what we do as we specialized in ‘sushi’ and that’s what we do best here at Matsuri.

Besides the different types of at least seventy or more selections of sushi we have on our menu, we also cater to all of our non-sushi eaters/customers with our menu hot from the kitchen with at least sixty different types of amazing Japanese dishes.
